Celebrate the Long Weekend in Atlantic City!

Between the scheduled dual opening of Hard Rock and Ocean Resort Casinos on June 28 and Atlantic City casinos taking sports bets probably even sooner, 2018 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years ever for Atlantic City. However, in the midst of all the hoopla, let’s not forget another major milestone—the 40th anniversary of legalized casino gambling in Atlantic City and 40th anniversary of Resorts, the casino that started it all.

This Memorial Day weekend, nothing can eclipse the accomplishments of Resorts, which opened all the way back on May 26, 1978 and has been operating continuously ever since. However, Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa is having a big celebration of its own this weekend also. Theirs, which will be continued all summer long, is commemorating that property’s 15th anniversary coming up in July.

All of the Atlantic City casinos are going all out to make sure that everyone who visits has a ton of fun. There are only so many hours in the day, but here is a summary of the highlights among the many exciting goings on today through Monday at the Atlantic City casino hotels.

Dine and sip cocktails if you like from an adjacent outdoor terrace lounge while enjoying magnificent ocean views.

If you happen to find yourself at any of the other Atlantic City properties this weekend, you have lots of great entertainment options there as well.

At Bally’s, you will want to check out the Beach Bar, Harry’s, and the Boardwalk Saloon at the Wild Wild West.

At Golden Nugget, you will have no doubt at all that summer is here as top local bands entertain you on the Deck. While you’re there, if you can find a seat at one of the outdoor gaming tables, you can try your luck at a little blackjack, too. For late night partying, Haven Nightclub is another best bet.

Harrah’s Resort now has a new steakhouse: Gordon Ramsay Steak. This weekend you can be one of the first to try it. There will also be nightly entertainment at Eden Lounge, the Xhibition Bar, Martorano’s, and the Pool After Dark.
