Derby Day Borgata Online Deposit Match

Today, Saturday, May 4, is one of the biggest days of the year for racing fans all across America. If you’re heading out to Atlantic City to watch the big race and party–and maybe even win a contest for the best hat–you have no shortage of possibilities. But the Borgata Race & Sportsbook is currently the only place in town where you can place bets on the Derby.

Even if taking advantage of that option isn’t feasible, Borgata Online Casino is offering another great way to enjoy the fun and excitement of Derby Day wherever in New Jersey you happen to be.

It’s a Derby Day Deposit Match Bonus. Deposit $50, Get $20!

How to participate in the May 4 Borgata Online Casino Derby Day Deposit Match promotion

This offer is open to all registered players. Here’s what you need to to do to get your bonus:

  • Log into your account before 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.
  • Go to the Cashier tab and make a single deposit of $50 or more, using the bonus code DERBY19.
  • You will receive a $20 bonus immediately. However, like all other bonuses at Borgata Online Casino, it comes with additional wagering requirements. So start playing!
How much should you deposit?

I recommend that you limit your deposit to the required $50. That way you will get the full value of this 40% deposit match bonus. You gain no advantage from depositing more than $50 since your bonus will still be only $20. Only make a larger deposit if your account is running on empty and you absolutely need more money to make your usual size wagers. Of course, depositing less than $50 would be pointless since then you wouldn’t get any bonus at all.

Wagering requirements for the bonus

You will need to wager the $20 Derby Day bonus 15x, or in another words, a total of $300. Only slot play counts.

As with all bonuses, all of your wagers to clear the bonus count towards earning additional loyalty points. However, I recommend that you access your bonus and start playing as soon as possible, especially since tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo and you may have other plans. Also keep in mind that while Borgata Online Casino allows you to have multiple active bonuses in your account simultaneously, you can only clear one bonus at a time. You have until 11:59 p.m. tomorrow to complete the wagering for this bonus, and that’s it.

While the wagering is still in progress, you will be temporarily unable to withdraw the bonus, deposit tied to the bonus, or any related winnings. However, you will have full access to all of this money (or what’s left of it) as soon as the required wagering is completed. Opting out, attempting to withdraw unavailable funds prematurely, or failure to clear the bonus on time with cause you to forfeit both the bonus and any resulting winnings.

Is the Borgata Online Casino Derby Day bonus a good deal?

One of the nice features of this Derby Day offer is that most Borgata Online Casino players should find it affordable. $20 is not a big bonus, for sure, but a $50 deposit probably won’t exceed your budget either. You are also getting a 40% deposit match, which isn’t great, but still gives you a lot more bang for your buck than the 15-25 percent deposit match bonus that you’ll often find on NJ gambling websites.

It would be nice if the casino could give you more time to clear the bonus. If $300 is more than you typically wager in a single day, be sure to spread out your wagers over multiple playing sessions with breaks in between. That will make the challenge of clearing the bonus on time more manageable.
